Donations

MEMBERSHIP DONATIONS ARE WAIVED FOR ALL MASTER INSTRUCTORS 5th DAN AND ABOVE

Once you are accepted into the Alliance, AJWBA Honbu (headquarter office) will issue a membership license booklet and/or card and a COAT OF ARMS (patch) for new members with a special “Masters’ Greeting”. The licensed book should be kept up-to-date with the student’s rank, class attendance, membership renewal dates, and seminars. The student may be asked by an instructor to fill in the details (rank and date), but only a licensed instructor may sign and stamp the book. The application donations are dependent on age, rank, position, and number of organizations joined.

Lifetime Membership: A lifetime membership is available for those individuals who are looking for a long term commitment.  This membership exempts the individual from the annual donations. The lifetime donation for membership is $399 (free to 5th Dan and above).  HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS UNDER 5th DAN OR COLOR BELT LEVELS (KYU).

DISBURSEMENTS FOR ALLIED STUDIOS

Any individual wishing to establish an independent business must donate $499 per year to use the alliance’s name and logo. The alliance has no other involvement with this venue; however, membership may be revoked upon violation of the AJWBA rules of conduct.

Schools/groups/programs opening or operating under the alliance, including participation in alliance sponsored seminars:

  • Alliance’s treasury gets 80% of all seminar donations (this will be handled over to the interim instructor) while the sponsoring party retains 20%.
  • 50% per student/per kyu level (under belt) test where the alliance’s signature and/or seal is required for validation of testing certificates and documents.  Any charge above the mark for testing is strictly up to the discretion of each individual school/group/program

If the alliance opens up a satellite branch/ school and designates someone to operate the school:

  1. Proceeds received are first disbursed to cover all operating/business expenses.
  2. Balance or credit thereafter is divided 30/70 between the alliance (30%) and the individual (70%) operating the business at that location.
  3. Any excess proceeds derived from sales such as accessories, drinks/snacks belong to the satellite school and are not shared with the alliance.

You are trusted to attend all activities under the AJWBA.  It is extremely important in extending the lifespan of the organization.

All monthly organization training clinics will require a donation per student member (non-members donate a bit higher), to cover the expenses of the assigned instructor.  Individuals at remote locations may attend via telephone conference or by responding to an e-mail containing the minutes of any meetings.

Attendance of member schools is expected to all seminars in support of your organization.  It may be difficult to get support in return when you host your own activities.

THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTION.  PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT, FOR ALL MUST FOLLOW THE SAME DIRECTIVE.

All donations are subject to adjustments upon review every 2 years.
